News: Dax J preps release of debut album ‘Shades Of Black’

London born, Berlin-based artist Dax J will be releasing his debut album next month on his own imprint Monnom Black. The 10-track LP is highly anticipated after scoring releases on labels such as Arts Collective and EarToGround (of which he is also a co-founder). Although charting his first releases from as early as 2006, Dax J arguably rose to global prominence after self-releasing his ‘Imperial Propaganda’ 12″ earlier this year, featuring club weapons such as ‘Closer To God’ and ‘The Future’. 

‘Shades Of Black’ encapsulates Dax J’s broad palette of influences, ranging from his upbringing in golden-era Drum & Bass and Garage, to UK rave, acid and the sorts of sounds he now shapes and influences through his own techno imprints. The LP is set to land on the 30th October on double 12″, CD, and digital. Below you can view the album teaser:
